Those attending the ESA marketing meetings (the next meeting is 7th September) or the AGM in May will be aware that as part of our longer term IT strategy we are developing the website, data management and communications programmes with Virtua PR, our long standing communications agency.
You may have noticed a slight change in the appearance of the website and if you have tried to log into the Members area you will have noticed that the username and passwords have also altered.
However, the changes are much deeper than cosmetic. The whole site has been placed onto a WordPress platform, which has entailed re-writing the entire site and reproducing all the critical links. As always, there were one or two minor issues but the new site went live as planned at the beginning of June and is working perfectly well.
One of the major benefits is that the site is mobile friendly in that it can be viewed more clearly, but also that it can be navigated easily on android devices. The site also allows greater flexibility and easier editing for the various people involved in maintaining the layout and content.
Locating the management of the site under the umbrella of Virtua PR is key to ensuring that our social media and communications through areas such as the Newsletter are much more coordinated and timely with very few delays.
