The Flange Gaskets Division of the ESA, in cooperation with Amtec Messtechnischer Service GmbH, has almost finalised the flange gasket database, which was launched in 2018. This database can be accessed at ESAdata.org and contains gaskets characteristics that have been analysed and approved by an ESA group of experts. During the past months, additional functions for gasket selection have been implemented to help the user consultation and experience.
Gasket data can be viewed by selecting between different parameters: manufacturer, gasket type, gasket material, gasket geometry standard, test temperature range, test pressure range, tightening class, and initial gasket thickness. At the moment, the database counts 103 materials from different manufacturers. Each manufacturer who fulfils the requirements set by ESA can submit his data for publication on ESAdata.org even if he is not an ESA member.
