Careers Development

Following the discussion at the AGM and in line with the ESA strategy discussion the ESA started work on the development of the Careers Area of the ESA website.

The first meeting of the careers team will be the 12th August using the online meeting format. We intend to post the progress of the Careers area on a regular basis in the Newsletter but we will also carry the minutes on the Members Area of the website.

Careers Meeting

All members are kindly invited to meeting. The meeting will be held online on GoToMeeting platform (all you need, is a device with internet access). You can also join by phone. The instructions are in the Members Area.

Topics to be discussed:

  1. How we structure the website. The drop down link will be in place on the ESA website but no structure beneath it. Who’s the target audience, overview of the area and links.
  2. Organisations with Graduate Recruitment training programmes.
  3. Engaging ESA Personnel depts. To post their graduate vacancies. Timescales, structure and format.
  4. Useful links to HR depts.
  5. We are going to commission a report to be written by a graduate. How do we post progress, circulate updates? Bio about the graduate.
