Survey Results

On behalf of the Executive Committee we would like to thank all those members and non members who took part in the recent survey. I know surveys can be tedious and time consuming but it’s one method of gauging which way to steer the ESA for the future. We intend to use the results of the survey to develop a strategy for the ESA  together with short and long term goals. We’ve never undertaken such an exercise before but it was definitely worthwhile and something that will be undertaken again. Some of the results are shown here, the entire report is available in the Member Area under General Support.

Most of you wish the ESA would expand communication on the (open) website (half of the repondents agreed and 19 % strongly agreed with that claim). Other preferred marketing communication tools are also articles, Publication Database and Newsletters.

Regarding other communication activities you would like to see a discussion forum on ESA’s website, followed by Internal members Only forum, more exposure in magazines and better utilization of Social Networking.

Regarding connections with other associtations most of the respondents would want ESA to generate stronger links with End User Associations, followed by Trade Associations, and with FSA in the USA. 55% of the repondents agreed to see the development of the ESA’s links with the Chinese Sealing Association, 22% were neutral while 22 % disagreed with this activity.

We will consider all your answers to shape our ESA’s future activities.

Mark Neal, ESA Secretary General
