New Standards and Legislation Director for the ESA

We are pleased to announce that David Mitchell has agreed to take on the role as Standards and Legislation Director for the European Sealing Association. David has been working with the ESA on the Environmental Goods Agreement and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience across a wide range of product groups within the ESA.

We have a number of new and existing projects within the ESA which need constant monitoring and development and we feel that this role strengthens our resolve to be more influential in the area of developing new standards and maintaining our links with developing legislation.

At the recent Executive meeting of the ESA we have highlighted a series of new projects and David will head up one of these, the Potable Water project. This also comes on the back of the recent success of the Packings Division, where the ESA/FSA Specification for a Test Procedure for Packings for Rotary Applications has now been officially adopted by CEN and designated EN 16752, and is now called Centrifugal Pumps - Test Procedure for Seal Packings.

We are pleased that David will be working with us on such projects and no doubt you will be hearing from him in the near future.
