UBA - Material Guidelines for Products that come into contact with Drinking Water now in English

The UBA in Germany (German Federal Environmental Agency) have issued an English version of the legal requirements in Germany for Materials that come into contact with drinking water. This information has been provided to the ESA via the European Drinking Water (EDW) organisation who contribute to TC 164, the Technical Working Group responsible for harmonising standards for drinking water in Europe. The EDW have asked if the ESA wish to add any comments before their review meeting later in October. The ESA (David Mitchell and I) now attend the EDW and TC 164 on a regular basis.

Here is the link and if you scroll down you will see further links to specific product groups. There maybe other areas of interest but it is important that we guide these organisations as they need information from product experts. Can you please comment and reply to both David Mitchell and myself.

Mark Neal, Secretary General
