Valve World Expo 2016 with professional conference

The tenth edition of Valve World Expo will be held from 29 November to 1 December 2016 in Düsseldorf, showcasing valves and valve-related products and parts, actuators and positioners, compressors as well as engineering services and software applications. For three days Halls 3, 4 and 5 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will be transformed into the number-one industry meeting for valve and fittings specialists throughout the world.

Nine months before the event, bookings have already been received for over 17,000 square metres of exhibition space. At the end of February, 544 exhibitors from 39 countries had registered. The majority of European companies at VALVE WORLD EXPO 2016 will be from Italy, UK, Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Turkey.  Many of the overseas exhibitors will be coming from the United States, Taiwan, India and China.

Valve World Conference

As before, the Valve World Conference that accompanies the trade show in Hall 4 will be conducted by KCI. The Pump Summit, the international trade fair and convention for pumps, will be held in Hall 7.0 (ground floor) on 29th and 30th November.

The Valve World Conference lasts for three days and the content is driven by a strong Steering Committee which has a large number of end users as members. Knowledge transfer is facilitated via the plenary lectures, presentations and workshops, etc. Popular topics that are covered in the Conference include, amongst others: fugitive emissions, control valves and instrumentation, new designs, wear & tear of valves, severe service, sealing, actuation, counterfeiting.

The Steering Committee has accepted the paper proposal for presentation by the Elastomeric & Polymeric Seals Division, focusing on their latest research work on development of a method of determining low temperature sealing capabilities. Andrew Douglas, James Walker will present the presentation “Defining true minimum temperature capabilities of elastomeric seals” on Thursday, December 1st.
