The Fluid Sealing Association (FSA) in the Americas and the European Sealing Association (ESA) operate in distinct regions, yet they pursue similar objectives and frequently collaborate on global matters. Both organisations play a role in shaping international standards and jointly tackle worldwide environmental issues. This collaboration helps maintain the effectiveness and sustainability of sealing technologies across the globe.

Currently, a significant focus is on the forthcoming PFAS legislation in both Europe and the United States. The two organisations are working together, sharing insights on developments in these regions. They also collaborate on training initiatives for seal users. The Mechanical Seals Division of the ESA has integrated training materials from the FSA into its recent mechanical seal training program. In return, ESA training programs are accessible for FSA members.

Additionally, some ESA members participate in FSA Divisional meetings, and all chairs of FSA Divisions are invited to ESA meetings. This reciprocal engagement fosters communication between the two organisations and lays the groundwork for further collaboration on critical sealing issues.
