Hopefully most of you reading this will feel like winter is now fading and we have spring just around the corner, and of course as we all know spring is the time to renew and regenerate, and that is the theme of our AGM this year, which will also be somewhere new, in the beautiful and historic city of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
After a lot of discussion, we have decided to make some changes to the content and schedule to make the event more engaging and meaningful. This will, however, include retaining the Meet and Greet event on the first evening, which has been very successful in the last two events.
We have, though, removed the CEO’s lunch on the second day and will make this a session that all are invited to, and most significantly, following on from the work done at the Autumn meeting, we will be holding Blue Sky Day working group sessions on the Tuesday morning, promoting full member engagement, where all participants will have the opportunity to input, to review, and to build on some of the exciting ideas developed at that Autumn session. This importantly will help translate these actions into the ESA direction and strategy, importantly recognising that the ESA is for the benefit of the member organisations, so please come along prepared and willing to contribute to these important sessions.
Would you like to contribute more to the ESA? Of course you would! In line with our Executive rules, two members of the team will have reached their maximum time served and will need to roll off in favour of new contributors. If you feel you have the time and the commitment to take up these reins, then please let Mark Neal know that you are interested. Likewise, if you want to discuss what is required before committing, then feel free to reach out to Mark, myself or any other members of the Excom for a chat.
John Morton
Chairman of the ESA
